20 week ultrasound

On Monday, the 14th, we had the privilege of going in to the doctors office for our 20 week ultrasound. Josh and I have been going back and forth on if we will let this baby surprise us and not know the gender til it's born. I feel like it's a nice idea but I'd rather know. Josh is really excited to have it be a surprise so we'll see. It was really hard to be in the ultrasound room knowing she could just tell us at anytime but I do think that it will be really fun to find out the minute it's born. We have the hardest time picking names so we just made it like twice as hard on ourselves, better start working on it now. The one thing that I have been worrying and worrying about was if it was okay and if the baby looked healthy. And so most importantly everything looks good on the baby, it looked healthy and it's right size and all of it's organs and brain looked just as it should so I'm so very happy about that. I also had the ultrasound technician just checked to make sure it had a gender and it does.
It is always fun to see that little baby on the screen that is in your tummy because it makes it so much more real. This baby slept through the whole ultrasound and sucked on it's thumb. Very cute!
Also on Wednesday the 16th, Hailey had her 4-year-old check up. She weighed 33.4 lbs, 50th percentile, and was 40 in tall, also 50th percentile. She also got 4 shots which in some ways is harder now that they are older but she handled it like a champ. I like how you can reason with a 4-year-old. I told her we had to get these shots to help her body fight off the germs. They would help keep certain bad germs out of our body. She is very interested in germs if you can't tell, we talk about it all the time. And luckily none of us have been sick for a while! What a huge blessing!
