Pre-Easter Fun

The Hakes came over on Monday For FHE and brought pizza! It was fun! Grandma Hakes also brought strawberry rice krispy treats to dip in chocolate and sprinkles with Hailey! Hailey thought it was so fun and they were really good!

sick

I'm mostly documenting this so that we can count our blessings and be grateful for our health. We've spent the majority of this month being sick. From fevers, to coughs, runny noses, pink eye, ear aches we've pretty much had all of everything twice. Cycle one toward the begining of the month and then cycle two toward the end of the month. I've been sick twice myself but luckily no pink eye. Troy was even tested for RSV luckily it was negative. We even missed playing with our cousins who came to town because we were sick! (So lucky that we did because Hailey developed pink eye that night!) Troy's still recovering but hopefully were done with this for a while.

Troy Troy likes the toy toy

It's funny lately I've realized that someone who is not so mobile should not be allowed to have such a strong opinion about where they're going or what they're doing. Troy is quite opinionated about where he want to go or what he want to play with although he wants me to take him there. I'm thinking this is good motivation for crawling but well see. My back is kind of suffering from carrying such a heavy load. He is now 9 months and 21 lbs. (recently lost a little from being sick) 9 month pictures to come! Anyway he loves the big toy we have outside and wants us to hold his hands so that he can walk around and explore! He loves climbing through the holes, going down slides, watching Hailey, and walking around... exploring at our expense. I'm really glad though that we are getting some good use out of our toy, I was afraid it wouldn't be exciting anymore but I think we're gonna get a lot of fun out of it! Troy is almost to crawl he's army crawling and comfortable up on all fours but still figuring out the coordination.

Hailey's funny sleep

Two different stories. 1. Hailey one night got up from her bed while I was in the computer room and Josh was at the Gym and took her blankets and laided down on the floor in our room. I was a little scared when I went to go check on her and this is what I found. But then I found her in our room!

2. Josh one night went to put Hailey down and a lot of time had gone by like 45 minutes and no word from Josh so I thought I peek on them and this is what I found.

I showed Josh the next day and he was like I sleep with my arms folded, I didn't know that! I got a good laugh out of it!

budding photographer

The other day Troy and I left to go to a wedding of some friends in the ward and I get back and this is what my hubby shows me he's been doing while I was gone. I have to admit I was pretty impressed! I especially like the last one of Hailey with her big brown eyes and the dirt sticking to her runny nose!

Lazy Sunday

So this weekend we could tell that Troy wasn't feeling to good. He was fussy and would not nap despite being very tired so we took him to the after hours clinic and sure enough he had his first ear infection, only the left ear. So we got him on antibiotics. The thing that makes it a lazy Sunday is that I've missed two Sundays in a row now because of sick kiddos. I hate missing church I feel like I havn't been there in like a month. Hailey had a fever and wasn't feeling good last weekend. Hopefully Troy will get feeling better fast! It's no fun being sick. We also found out that Troy now weighs 21 lbs 11 oz. Wow. I have some cute random pictures of things we've been doing. One day we went to the park and it was warm are really sunny. The park that we went to usually has a shade cover on it but it was gone so I put a diaper on Troy's head to protect it from the sun. We got a big kick out of that. It actually worked pretty well! I also went to the grocery store with both my kids, something I'm trying to do less of (bring my kids), and Troy was being a little bit difficult until I figured out a new comfortable way for him to sit in the cart. I kept sitting him up and he kept sliding down. He stayed like that for a while so he must have been pretty comfortable!
Another cute story about Troy lately is that the other day I was making lunch in the kitchen and Hailey was helping me. She was standing on her tinkerbell chair. Troy was out of patience and wanted to be held so I was holding him. I went to check on Hailey and when I went to turn away Troy had a death grip on Hailey's hair and that pulled her off the chair. Hailey was pretty mad about it. I had a good laugh. Hailey said, "No Troy, it's not okay to pull hair!" Troy loves pulling hair!

Too tired to eat

The other day Troy fell asleep while eating. He was looking at the tv and I could tell he was spacing out, then he just crashed. I just think that it's one of the cutest things. Hailey only did this once in her high chair. I was luckily enough to find that picture of her. You know you have to be really tired to fall asleep while eating.

Here is another funny one I found of Hailey one time when we were on our way home from an errand and she just could not stay awake, even for a cookie.

Here's a random picture I took of Hailey and Troy. She often points with her middle finger and here she is showing Troy where to look... at the camera.
