Hailey had her first official full day of school on Friday the 17th. She was so excited for her first day. She picked out her own outfit. She got her school supplies all packed and we took her for her first day. After the teacher read the whole class a book called "the kissing hand," the parents said their good byes and went to the boo hoo breakfast. She was happy and excited to be there. She also rode the bus home from school. I had to really work her to get any information out of her. She said that she did not miss me at all while she was at school. I laughed a little and she seemed to be offended by that. I don't think she really understand why I was laughing. She told me that she made 2 friends, Breeze and Deja. She said that 2 boys sat next to her at lunch and she was kinda bothered by that. She said she didn't have enough time to finish eating but was pretty full but was pretty sad that they made her through her drink away that she did not finish. She is a slow eater and easily dis-tractable. Hopefully it'll get better for her. She also left her super cute lunch box at school because that is what other kids were doing. I really hope we can get it back on Monday because she didn't even leave it in her classroom she just left it in a random hallway. I'm not very excited to buy her another one, I doubt I will. She told me that she did not learn anything on her first day. Her teacher is Ms. Galaz and I'm so excited that we got her. She comes highly recommended! Also the school is a leadership school and they focus on the seven habits of highly effective kids. They are: 1. Be Proactive, 2. Begin with the end in mind, 3. Put first things first, 4. Think Win-Win, 5. Seek first to understand than to be understood, 6. Synergize, 7. Sharpen the saw. I think this will be pretty cool. I have been pretty impressed with this school. She loved riding the bus home from school! She though that was so neat. She is dying to ride the bus to school on Monday morning. My only reservation is that the bus comes at 7am so that seems a little tough but we'll try it out. She'd get a lot more sleep if I could just drop her off like 40 minutes later. I'm glad her first day went well. Wow it sure is such a learning experience. It is hard to believe I have a kindergartener! Hopefully she will open up to me a little more in the future! Love her to pieces!!
This is Hailey's first ever "real" hair cut. We went to JCP because they were having a free hair cuts for kids all month special. So we took her in and I was pretty impressed with her new cut. She looks adorable!
