Happy Birthday Troy!

Happy 2nd Birthday Troy! His Birthday was on June 28, it was the first full day after we got home from the hospital. The best part was that Josh stayed home that day from work since we had just came home. That made it such a fun day for the kids. He filled up the pool and put the extra slide in and they loved it. They swam for like a hour in the morning and an hour in the afternoon. They loved it. Then we made cupcakes and spent like 20 minutes relighting and blowing out the candles. I do feel a little like Troy got the short end of the Birthday stick but in someways it was way better for him, more quality time. I think in the future it will be fun to have their Birthdays close.

My two-year-old Troy is such a sweet heart. He will cuddle with me while we are watching a show or reading a book. We played duck duck goose tonight and he just loved getting up to run and always would come back and sit in my lap. Troy is also very active little boy and we like to say all the time he is such a boy! He likes to pretend to be a monster and sometimes he'll switch to be a kitty but he likes to pretend to be the monster the most. He will growl and put his hands up and act scary. It's very cute. Troy loves cars and will spend tons of time moving them from place to place and lining them up and such. Troy has been seeing a speech therapist and it seems like recently he is talking more. His most used word is "please" which he uses for everything. He also says mama, dada, juice, elmo, cars, stars, uh-oh, shhhh, what's that?, mo for no, mo for mine, Those are the main ones. He will sometimes pop out other little words. He often prefers to grab our finger and show us what he wants and grunts a lot and also does muh-huh for yes. He's very expresive as far as his head nods go too so that helps. Troy still has his pacifer as you can see but we hope to loose it in the next few months. Troy has really surprised me with the arrival of his new sister. He has seemed to really not mind at all and has been really very soft when he touches her head. He has seemed to cling to me just a little more but the first few days he wouldn't come to me at all. I really hoping he doesn't feel jealous but so far so good. Hailey just loves to hold Alyssa and does a really good job of that so that has been helpful. Hailey is really helpful expect when it comes to her teasing her brother. It's not all the time but sometimes she does. We love having Troy in our family! Happy Birthday Buddy!
